50' Post

Monroe Time is a very well maintained, three stateroom, two head sportfisherman with low hours. She features the preferred “Plan B” layout with the master stateroom to starboard and a guest stateroom forward. The third stateroom has twin bunks. There is ample storage throughout. The wide beam and step down galley layout allows for a very roomy salon. The boat has been recently painted and the interior is in very nice condition. The bridge has a new enclosure and upgraded Garmin electronics. Her massive cockpit has a bait prep station with sink and storage, a bait freezer, drink box, huge removable fish wells under the sole and a pass through transom door. Monroe Time is one of the nicest 50 foot Posts on the market. She is priced to sell and the owner will consider all reasonable offers.

Accommodations and Layout

Entering into the spacious salon you find a large, L- shaped sofa to port with rod storage plus a pullout twin bed. Forward and to starboard in the salon is a large dinette table and the entertainment center. A step down galley is on the port side with a full sized refrigerator. Moving forward you find the master stateroom to starboard with an ensuite head. To port you have a guest stateroom with twin bunks. Forward to port is the day head. The forward V berth has staggered twin bunks and a door accessing the day head. The washer and dryer closet is to starboard in the forward berth. This is the “Plan B” layout for the 50’ Post.

Post has a reputation of investing in the right places to produce a quality boat for a good price.  With the 16’ - 11” beam and 14’ - 9” from the molded consoles to the transom, the cockpit on the 50’ Post was larger than its production competitor’s 50 footers. Max headroom in the cabin is 6’ - 6”.  It has a very efficient hull.  It gets up on plane quickly and tracks nicely due to the keel, which also reduces yaw in a following sea.

It has a very spacious engine room with the generator forward of the mains on the centerline facilitates ease of maintenance and allows plenty of storage space for spares.

Monroe Time is an excellent example of a well maintained 50’ Post and will give her next owner many hours of enjoyment
